SONGWRITING SEASON (January - June)
This songwriting workshop is designed as a three-level progressive program that guides participants through the essential stages of songwriting: listening, writing, and producing. The workshop emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
The workshop is a series of 3 sessions. Each session builds on the previous one, enabling participants to move from understanding songs analytically to writing their own lyrics, and finally to shaping complete musical arrangements.
Level 1: Critical Listening and Song Deconstruction
Objective: To develop students’ ability to listen analytically, understand song structures, and interpret how musical elements communicate meaning.
Level 2: Lyric Writing and Songwriting Techniques
Objective : To enable students to generate ideas, collaborate creatively, and write meaningful and well-structured lyrics.
Level 3: Arrangement and Production
Objective: To compose melodies and add harmonies for the written lyrics and create key sections of a song like intros, Interludes and outro etc.
